Dermatologist



Drew Anderson, M.D. is a native Hoosier. He grew up in nearby Ft Wayne, Indiana. His lifelong ambition has been to become a physician and follow in his father’s footsteps. After graduating high school in Ft Wayne, Dr. Anderson majored in chemistry at Indiana University in Bloomington. He graduated early with a bachelor’s degree. Next, Dr. Anderson was accepted into the Indiana University School of Medicine. He obtained a highly competitive Air Force Health Professions scholarship.

Dr. Anderson came to Muncie in 1993. He did his internship at Ball Memorial Hospital. During the following three years, Dr. Anderson served in the United States Air Force. He served as the Assistant Director of Emergency Services. Dr. Anderson also served as the Director of the Dermatology Clinic for the 78th Medical Group at Robins Air Force Base in central Georgia.

Next, Dr. Anderson then pursued his dermatology training at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas. This is one of the premier training programs in the country.

A fellowship in dermatopathology followed at the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Anderson was under the direction of John Maize, M.D. an internationally respected dermatopathologist.

After college, Dr. Anderson married his high school sweetheart Staci. They have three wonderful daughters, each born in a different state! Dr. Anderson and his family are glad to be back in Muncie. He joined Lifetime Skin Care Centers in 2001 and became an owner of the practice in 2002. In 2004, Dr. Anderson started his own dermatopathology laboratory to better serve his patients and colleagues. He now serves as the President of the Indiana Academy of Dermatology. Outside the office, Dr. Anderson enjoys church, family time, reading, skiing, and classic cars.

Dr. Anderson’s special interest in dermatology include skin cancer, skin surgery, dermatopathology and cosmetic dermatology.

Dermatologist



Beth Peacock, M.D. grew up in Ohio. She attended Anderson University in Indiana. Dr. Peacock graduated summa cum laude with a major in biology and minor in chemistry. In college, she realized that her two passions were science and relationships; medicine allowed her to combine these two passions into a career.  Dr. Peacock began her medical studies in Indiana University School of Medicine. She graduated in the top 2% of her class. After completing medical school, Dr. Peacock returned to Ohio for her specialty training. Kettering Medical Center was the site of her general internship. She completed her dermatology residency at Wright State University.

While in residency, Dr. Peacock presented three posters at the Ohio Dermatology Association annual meeting. In addition, she participated in the three different clinical trials studying therapeutic option for atopic dermatitis and psoriasis. Her publication include papers in Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology and JAMA Dermatology.

Dr. Peacock met her husband, Shane, at Anderson University. They are excited to be “coming home” to Indiana. Outside of work, Dr. Peacock enjoys church, reading and time with her family.

Dr. Peacock’s interests are in general dermatology, pediatric dermatology, skin cancer, acne and dermatology surgery.

Mohs Surgeon/Dermatologist



Rachel Ward, M.D. is a board-certified, fellowship-trained dermatologist and Mohs micrographic surgeon who is a native of Indianapolis, Indiana. She graduated with honors and a degree in biochemistry from DePauw University. Dr. Ward subsequently attended Indiana University School of Medicine, graduating at the top of her class. She then completed her dermatology residency at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, where she served as Chief Resident. Dr. Ward served as Associate Staff in the Department of Dermatology and completed her fellowship training in Micrographic Surgery & Dermatologic Oncology (Mohs Surgery) at the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic.

She has authored multiple scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals as well as published several textbook chapters on dermatologic surgery and oral disease.  She has presented research at national, regional, and local academic meetings. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, and the Women’s Dermatologic Society.

Dr Rachel Ward

Dr. Ward specializes in skin cancer and reconstructive surgery and prides herself on a patient-centered and compassionate approach to medicine, tailoring treatment options to each patient individually. She enjoys forming close bonds with her patients, many of whom she sees regularly throughout the years. She is honored to be providing dermatologic, surgical, and cosmetic care to the Muncie area.

Nurse Practitioner

Michelle Hicks, DCNP

Michelle Hicks is our dermatology certified nurse practitioner. She joined our team in 2014. Michelle is a Ball State University graduate. She has worked at Ball Memorial Hospital, Open Door Health Center and taught nursing at Ivy Tech Community College. Michelle enjoys reading, crafting and traveling with her husband, John, and their daughters.

Physician Assistant



Lauren Kisan, PA-C, grew up in Ohio. She did her undergraduate work at Bowling Green State University. While in school, she worked in a rural dermatology practice learning the basics of dermatology and gained a passion for working in healthcare. She graduated cum laude with a major in Gerontology and a minor in Chemistry. Following graduation, she applied for and was accepted for Physician Assistant program at Kettering College in Ohio. During her training, she was passionate about missionary work and went to West Africa where she supplied healthcare to an Adventist Hospital in Waterloo. Following these adventures, she graduated Physician Assistant school with magna cum laude honors. She decided to pursue her dream of working in Dermatology at Lifetime Skin Care Centers. Her special interests are in general dermatology which entails treating conditions such as acne, psoriasis, and skin cancer. She also is passionate about preventative medicine and patient education.
